Mehnaz Hassan | Associate Consultant I
Mehnaz Hassan is an Aviation Planner by training. Mehnaz, who also goes by May, earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management and a Master’s degree in Airport Development and Management from Florida Institute of Technology. During that time, Mehnaz was a Graduate Student Assistant for the professors at the College of Aeronautics. Immediately after, Mehnaz served as an Airport Development and Management Analyst at a local technical services consultancy from Melbourne, Florida. After two years as an analyst, Mehnaz joined DY Consultants as Associate Consultant II for the Aviation Planning Division.
Mehnaz was born and raised in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, originally from Bangladesh. Mehnaz loves to experience and discover new and different cultures. Calling a melting pot like Dubai home has granted Mehnaz the privilege to enjoy such experiences frequently. Pursuing higher education brought Mehnaz to a separate melting pot in Florida, where diverse cultures were equally as abundant. Her recruitment to DY Consultants allows her to continue this journey in New York.
Kassandra Moran | Civil Engineer
Kassandra has a BS in Civil Engineering from NYU Tandon with a minor in Construction Management and Sustainable Urban Environments. She has six years of experience working in Civil Engineering in the Tri-State area, Idaho and Ohio. She’s worked for clients such as NYCHA, NYC DOT, NYC DPR, NYC SCA, NYC EDC, NYC DDC, Amazon, and many more. Her experience varies from small-scale bioswales, warehouse developments, local residential housing, sidewalk reconstruction, playgrounds, parks, and airports. She is a well-rounded individual who has worked on many aspects of design such as grading, drainage, site work, field work, soil investigations, developed schedules, cost estimates, specifications, and more. Aside from work, she is interested in playing soccer and played for her high school and college teams.
