- Manage and oversee construction projects on airports, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Monitor and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Review and approve construction plans and specifications, including pavement designs, grading plans, and construction drawings.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project goals are achieved and any issues are addressed promptly.
- Oversee the installation of airfield lighting systems, pavement markings, and airfield signage in compliance with FAA regulations and industry standards.
- Ensure that construction activities are carried out safely, in compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety standards.
- Participate in project meetings and prepare progress reports to keep stakeholders informed of project status and issues.
- Manage project documentation, including change orders, submittals, and RFIs.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of construction management experience, preferably on airport projects.
- Professional Engineering license preferred.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and industry standards related to airfield construction and maintenance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload.
- Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel, often using own automobile transportation, to multiple airport sites throughout the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut Tri-State region.

- B.Sc. in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred (or ability to obtain PE Licensure within 12-18 months). Engineer-in-Training Certificate required.
- Minimum 5-10 years of professional experience in all aspects of site civil engineering for airport design, including geometric design, grading and drainage design, utility design, etc.
- Experience in delivering and managing all stages of multi-disciplinary engineering projects from initial studies through to detailed design.
- Experience with Civil 3D is preferred and full proficiency with AutoCAD is required.
- Full proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- Superior attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to represent DY Consultants in client-facing roles at all levels.
- Working knowledge and related experience of FAA and State DOT grant filing procedures, other aviation-related approval procedures (TCAP, TAA, FAA Form 7460 etc) and environmental permitting requirements (CAFRA, SPDES etc) a plus.
$30-$50 per hour
- Coordinate multiple competitive proposal efforts
- Reviewing Requests for Proposals for required content
- Assembling materials in response to RFI requests
- Managing proposal submission schedule and ensuring deadlines are met
- Developing proposals and interview materials, to include: customizing boilerplate materials, completing necessary forms, compiling necessary certificates, formatting and typesetting proposals, content editing and proofreading
- Developing lessons learned towards continuously enhancing proposal quality
- Maintaining and enhancing standard proposal boilerplate materials including: staff resumes, company information (logo, background narrative, etc.), certificates associated with proposal efforts (MBE, Engineering certificates, etc.), project exhibits, company art, graphics, and infographics, developing and enhancing proposal development process, benchmarking current proposal quality and targeting metrics that reveal improvement in proposal development, seeking innovative ways to enhance the quality of proposal content and format, increasing the excitement of DY through proposal content and format.
- At least 5 years in writing and editing of proposals and/or technical reports
- Must be computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
- Excellent written communication skills
- Successful candidates will have excellent technical writing skills, experience in editing, typesetting and document formatting and graphic design. Knowledge of aviation and airports is highly recommended. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to organization and detail is essential.

- Provide support to DY Consultants’ wide array of CAD users and environments by responding to requests for technical assistance either in person or remotely
- Conduct CAD training for DY staff
- Maintain CAD training curriculum
- Project oversight to ensure CAD compliance with client or in-house standards/requirements
- Organize and maintain CAD folder structure and environment
- Provide production CAD support (drawing production, publishing documents etc.)
- Maintain in-house knowledge base of CAD standards, processes and procedures
- Assistance with configuration of new CAD workstations
- Assistance with installation and testing of new CAD software
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience with CAD software in a production role required
- Full working proficiency/knowledge of the following CAD software: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Infraworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, and all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Working knowledge of Revit preferred
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS suite of products preferred
- Ability to provide prompt technical support for all CAD-related issues
- Ability to effectively train large groups of people in a classroom environment
- Comprehensive understanding of CAD/BIM customizations based on the user or client’s specific project needs
