Senior Project Manager / Civil Engineer – Airport Transit / APM Systems
Location: New York, NY and remote at on-site project locations
Job Description: DY Consultants is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager/Civil Engineer with expertise in the design of infrastructure supporting the development of transit systems, with a focus on Automated Passenger Movement Systems (APMs), at airports. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing design standards, integrating transit systems into existing airport ground access infrastructure, and supporting the development and implementation of project design documents.   • Produce design standards for transit and APM infrastructure that align with industry best practices and client requirements
  • Integrate APM systems into existing airport ground access infrastructure
  • Support the development of project design documents including drawings, specifications, and schedules
  • Coordinate bidding and management of contractors for transit and APM infrastructure projects
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure project deliverables meet design standards and client requirements

Qualifications and Skills:
  • B.Sc. in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred (or ability to obtain PE Licensure within 12-18 months). Engineer-in-Training Certificate required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in the design and construction oversight of transit systems, preferably at airports
  • Experience and skills in project and program management of large-scale civil design projects
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards related to APM infrastructure design
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, contractors, and team members effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site at projects in New York, Florida, and California as needed
  • Experience in delivering and managing all stages of multi-disciplinary engineering projects from initial studies through to detailed design.
  • Experience with Civil 3D is preferred and full proficiency with AutoCAD is required.
  • Full proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.

Construction Manager / Resident Engineer – Airport Projects

  • Manage and oversee construction projects on airports, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Monitor and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
