- Produce design standards for transit and APM infrastructure that align with industry best practices and client requirements
- Integrate APM systems into existing airport ground access infrastructure
- Support the development of project design documents including drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Coordinate bidding and management of contractors for transit and APM infrastructure projects
- Perform quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure project deliverables meet design standards and client requirements
- Interact with airport clients as a senior project representative, providing regular project updates and addressing concerns as needed
- Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Lead and mentor junior staff members in project management and civil engineering design activities
- B.Sc. in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred (or ability to obtain PE Licensure within 12-18 months). Engineer-in-Training Certificate required.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in the design and construction oversight of transit systems, preferably at airports
- Experience and skills in project and program management of large-scale civil design projects
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards related to APM infrastructure design
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, contractors, and team members effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel and work on-site at projects in New York, Florida, and California as needed
- Experience in delivering and managing all stages of multi-disciplinary engineering projects from initial studies through to detailed design.
- Experience with Civil 3D is preferred and full proficiency with AutoCAD is required.
- Full proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- Superior attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to represent DY Consultants in client-facing roles at all levels.

- Coordinate multiple airport capital projects for consistency and quality of deliverables
- Assist in maintaining relationships with airport operators, tenants, and contractors
- Maintain program progress spreadsheets, calendars, and documents
- Assist in performing inspections of facilities under constructions

- Ability to be at site office 100% of the time. This position does not allow for remote work.
- Construction experience required

- Understanding of FAA airport regulations
- Manage and oversee construction projects on airports, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Monitor and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Review and approve construction plans and specifications, including pavement designs, grading plans, and construction drawings.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project goals are achieved and any issues are addressed promptly.
- Oversee the installation of airfield lighting systems, pavement markings, and airfield signage in compliance with FAA regulations and industry standards.
- Ensure that construction activities are carried out safely, in compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety standards.
- Participate in project meetings and prepare progress reports to keep stakeholders informed of project status and issues.
- Manage project documentation, including change orders, submittals, and RFIs.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of construction management experience, preferably on airport projects.
- Professional Engineering license preferred.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and industry standards related to airfield construction and maintenance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload.
- Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel, often using own automobile transportation, to multiple airport sites throughout the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut Tri-State region.

- Experience with Civil 3D is preferred and full proficiency with AutoCAD is required.
- Full proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.

- Experience with large hub, small hub, and GA airports
- Must have working knowledge of appropriate design tools such as AutoCAD Civil3D, Infraworks, Revit, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Oversight of complex design activities for design/delivery; oversight of plan review, QC, technical specification, contract compliance with contract documents.
- Investigate watersheds/drainage area using Rational Method or using other dynamic approaches.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic computations required to design and analyze complex drainage systems and stormwater management basins.
- Familiarity in the design of NY/NJ Stormwater BMP’s is desired.
- Contributes to the preparation or modification of reports, construction plans and designs for projects.
- Assists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
- Responsible for the delivery of project discipline scope elements within budget and schedule.Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team’s work. Supervises and guides team to overall project objectives.
- Provides senior-level technical expertise to client on project aspects within the discipline.
- Assists with project management duties.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 3+ years of related work experience.
- Experience with AutoCADD/Civil 3D software.
- Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic software such as: HydroCAD, StormCAD,CivilStorm, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS or similar software.
- Team-oriented work ethic with flexible schedule.Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
- Research and implement client-specific (PANYNJ, NJDOT etc) CAD standards
- Develop in-house CAD standards and effectively implement these standards company-wide
- Provide support to DY Consultants’ wide array of CAD users and environments by responding to requests for technical assistance either in person or remotely
- Conduct CAD training for DY staff
- Maintain CAD training curriculum
- Project oversight to ensure CAD compliance with client or in-house standards/requirements
- Organize and maintain CAD folder structure and environment
- Provide production CAD support (drawing production, publishing documents etc.)
- Maintain in-house knowledge base of CAD standards, processes and procedures
- Assistance with configuration of new CAD workstations
- Assistance with installation and testing of new CAD software
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience with CAD software in a production role required
- Full working proficiency/knowledge of the following CAD software: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Infraworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, and all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Working knowledge of Revit preferred
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS suite of products preferred
- Ability to provide prompt technical support for all CAD-related issues
- Ability to effectively train large groups of people in a classroom environment
- Comprehensive understanding of CAD/BIM customizations based on the user or client’s specific project needs
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to understand complex design and construction components
- Understands and anticipates the goals, needs and expectations of project teams and clients
- Highly approachable and relates comfortably with coworkers across all levels, functions and geography
- Autodesk certification a plus
