DY Consultants provided both construction management and inspection services for the demolition of an existing runway and taxiway system and the installation of a new runway and parallel taxiway system to insure compliance to Runway Safety Area Standards. In addition to the pavement and earthwork portion of the project, there was significant modifications made to the airfield’s visual aids and navigational aids. DY coordinated with the FAA Technical Services line of business, with regard to the relocation of glide slopes, localizers and PAPI’s, as part of the construction engineering services. This complex project was the largest FAA funded project for a General Aviation Airport this particular fiscal year.
