DY Consultants Presents at China Airport Operations Training Program

WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 13th-14th, 2018) – Dennis Yap, President of DY Consultants, along with Denis Verdier, Manager, Terminal Planning, presented techniques and solutions for the development of smart and efficient airports at the China Airport Operations Training Program in Washington D.C. this past September.

The event was organized by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) to host senior airport officials from the Airports Division of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). These seminars were held with the intent to introduce U.S. technologies to the Chinese delegation related to Emergency Preparedness and strategies toward constructing Smart and Efficient Airports.

On the first day, a business roundtable with U.S. companies took place. During the roundtable, upcoming opportunities were introduced and attendees were able to form new partnerships with key decision-makers. The topics of discussion included cutting-edge U.S technologies that can support China’s aviation goals; China’s plans for national airport expansion and CAACs plans for new Emergency Response Centers. On the second day of the program, DY Consultants shared their expertise and knowledge of smart and efficient airports with the Chinese delegates. This presentation managed to engage its audience and resulted in insightful discussions amongst its attendees.

It was an honor for DY to be part of this event and enjoyed the opportunity to connect with these Chinese aviation leaders. We look forward to continuing providing insight on airport technologies to China as well as other nations.
