Description: DY Consultants is a growing engineering and planning firm with a strong reputation, especially in the exciting field of airport related improvement projects. Projects typically involve the following design principles: drainage, grading, horizontal and vertical alignment, and environmental. Project design packages usually involve the preparation of plans, specifications, environmental permits and an engineer’s report. The firm takes on a personable approach towards projects, including maintaining close contact with our clients. Job Requirements: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering with a good background in civil design. Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years of related experience. The successful candidate must have experience managing projects from preliminary design stage through final close-out of construction. Evidence of successfully completing 5 projects or more will be required, as this position will require an individual to “hands on” manage several projects simultaneously. The firm is particularly seeking individuals that have completed projects with a strong drainage component. These individuals should have a good understanding of hydrology and hydraulics and experienced with civil related software. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform detention basin analysis, analyze post development flow vs. predeveloped flow rates, and is experienced with HEC HMS or HEC-RAS modeling. This individual must have Autocad experience and be proficient enough to design in Autocad. Due to the nature of our business, candidates must have good written and verbal skills to interact with our clients. Professional Engineer’s Registration required.
